As our Architectural Designer, you'll lead clients through the entire selection process, from materials and finishes to furniture layouts and mood boards, while keeping their unique tastes, budgets, and project timelines in mind. You'll play a vital role in ensuring selections are finalized on schedule, installations meet design intent, and content is created for marketing and social media. This is a high-impact, client-facing role that balances design flair with project coordination.


Key Responsibilities

  • Guide clients through the selection of finishes, materials, fixtures, and furnishings
  • Schedule, attend, and follow up on showroom appointments
  • Update selections and estimates using Asana and internal SOPs
  • Coordinate material lead times with the Project Manager
  • Prepare design deliverables: elevations, cabinet/trim/electrical plans in Chief Architect
  • Visit job sites to confirm installation accuracy and resolve selection-related issues
  • Create mood boards and visual assets for clients and marketing
  • Source materials, manage furniture orders, and track design-related expenses
  • Maintain communication with clients via Asana with a 24-hour response time
  • Assist with design consultations during preconstruction and punch list walk-throughs
  • Continuously suggest improvements to workflows and communication processes

Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of residential interior design experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Chief Architect is required
  • Strong sense of aesthetics and ability to align designs with client goals and budgets
  • Skilled in space planning, material coordination, and furniture layouts
  • Excellent communication and client service skills
  • Familiarity with Asana or similar project management tools is a plus
  • Organized, tech-savvy, and self-motivated
  • Able to manage multiple projects, appointments, and deadlines independently
  • North Carolina driver's license and the ability to visit job sites as needed
